By now, most of you should have received your acceptance letters from college art programs you applied to. I want to personally congratulate you for getting into the program of your dreams!

This is a pretty exciting time in a student’s life. I remember how exhilarated I felt when I got accepted into my chosen program – commercial interior design – at 18 years old. I felt so motivated and excited to be embarking on my life’s journey in the arts!

Share your excitement!

As part of my duty to provide valuable information on how students can get in to the arts program their choice, I would love to hear your success story so that we can share it with our readers as a model to inspire them!

Send in your story about why studying in the arts and design means so much to you and how happy you feel now that you have been accepted! Share some insights into what you did to beat the odds and get accepted into the college of your dreams.

What you get in return

You get a chance to win 2 full hours of FREE college art portfolio instruction when you enter a video describing your experience if your video is chosen to be in the final montage.

The Good News is that EVERY student that sends in a 1-2 minute video entry will have their entries published on the PortPrep Blog and receive a minimum of ½-hour college readiness consultation over Skype or Google+ Hangouts for FREE!

The students that get their entries included in our final montage will win two (2) hours of drawing and design instruction for FREE to brush up on your skills and get you ready for success in the fall. Lessons can be given over the Internet or in person at PortPrep’s studio in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Why is this important to you? See our article called “Do You Have ALL the Skills You Need to Succeed in Arts College?” here.

Just a reminder – students cannot send in more than one entry. Deadline of entries has been extended to July 22, 2013. This promo is limited to teenagers who will become an art student this coming school year.
